Demal George, has a wealth of experience in the financial industry. Prior to his current role, he enjoyed a 17+ years career as a Banker and has been a Mortgage broker since 2014. He had held key roles with various banks including Head of Retail Lending, Head of Sales & Service for Home Loans and Product Manager for various lending products.
Due to his passion for numbers and to leverage years of experience he continues to work as a Mortgage Broker to assist others in identifying the right loan and suitable lender. Demal is a trustworthy, outgoing, spirited person who loves to socialise and is actively involved in the community. Demal enjoys motorbike riding and plays Badminton and Squash in his downtime.
Demal has been a mentor to many new-to-industry brokers since 2016. He has over 22 years of combined experience in Consumer Banking and Mortgage Broking. His passion for teaching, and an immense understanding of the financial industry & product behaviour, has motivated him to be an MFAA & FBAA accredited mentor and to educate new entrants to the industry.
His vast experience of transacting in real estate space gives him an added advantage of a thorough understanding of the property business too.
His style of mentoring includes face-to-face sessions and remote mentoring through zoom. He is available over phone, email, WhatsApp from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm.
The objective of his program is to ensure that, the mentee can achieve the following at end of this program:
- Ability to understand client requirements and financial circumstances through interview and documental information interpretation.
- Methods to develop hands-on knowledge of different loan structures, how to diversify your service offering to clients, how to extend client relationships, how to conduct home loan interviews and how to compare different home loan products.
- Ability to do research and maximum utilization of systems or platforms to progress quickly through the processes involved.
- Understanding key aspects of prospecting, selling and ongoing marketing.
- Familiarize with loan contracts, settlement process, purchase process and third-party activities that will have direct/indirect relationship to broker process and many more.
